I’m Scott Variano, a web developer and designer from Long Island, NY. Over the past decade, I’ve been creating eye-catching, highly interactive websites for various companies and organizations.
Originally starting as a graphic designer for print, I soon fell in love with web design and coding, with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress development. This goes beyond simple blogs – over the years I’ve used the extensibility of WordPress to develop custom functionality for ecommerce sites, showcases for biotech and construction companies, and real estate listing search websites.
While developing custom functionality for the back end is important to keep sites running efficiently, I also know the importance of leveraging HTML and CSS to create beautiful front end designs to keep users engaged with your content.
In addition to my WordPress background, I also have experience creating custom Shopify and BigCommerce websites for clients, and have been developing with React and NextJS for recent projects (often using WordPress as a headless back end CMS).
